Noticed the pleasant aroma of spices the first day here. On day four pulled the trigger and was met with a pop rather than a bang. First thing opened was very burnt popadom. Waste bin was it's only destination. Started with mixed platter, was ok, nice tandoori chicken but was not blown away by anything. Mains lamb tikka massala, not imho as tender or level of depth in would expect. Generous portion size but disappointing. Nothing bad as such just bland. Worst Mango lassi ever. Then I made the mistake of asking the servers details about some of the ingredients. They assumed I was an Indian and therefore, I must like green chillies! Even if that may have been true, I was the only brown skinned person there... with three others dining with me.

This is NOT an Indian restaurant.
Atrocious food, atrocious service, atrocious attitude....

In all my visit in restaurant in my life outside and inside Netherlands SAFRAN is the best . SAFRAN ALSO takes delivery..... And it's really good food ... Same thing as this man: Authentic Indian cuisine, fine dining but prices still very good. Service is excellent. The Indian gentleman that welcomes you, is always so kind and makes you feel at home. We've known him from the 90's when he worked at another Indian restaurant in Amsterdam. He also knows Indian cuisine very well and helps you make good c hoices. Further, but not unimportant: good parking availability and free in the evening. Tables are well placed so you have privacy. Also great for celebrations, like birthdays Even natives say...
