I had a great experience with pervious owners so would like to come again although it has switched to a new owner running the restaurant. I would expect the same customer service. Apparently I feel very dissatisfied with the service I received at your restaurant tonight. While I understand that working in a high-pressure environment can be challenging, the conduct of your staff during my visit was notably unprofessional and concerning.
During my dining experience, I observed several instances where the staff appeared overly preoccupied with the issue of payment, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. Rather than providing attentive and courteous service, their behavior seemed defensive and dismissive, leaving me and my companions feeling undervalued as customers.
Specifically, the waiter repeatedly questioned our ability to pay and seemed visibly frustrated, which detracted from the overall dining experience. Such behavior does not align with the standards of customer service one would expect from a reputable establishment.
I am bringing this matter to your attention not only to address the immediate concerns but also to ensure that future customers do not encounter similar issues. It is important for your staff to maintain a professional demeanor and focus on delivering a positive dining experience, regardless of the pressures they may face.
I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and would welcome any steps you plan to take to address this issue. I look forward to your response and hope that this feedback can contribute to improving the service at your restaurant.
Thank you for your time and...
Read moreIf this was just about the food I would have rated 4 stars. Almost everything was great - susihi, gyoza, drunken noodles, lamb, stir fried veggies - all really delicious. But the Green Curry with chicken was terrible. Didn't taste like a curry, the chicken had a strange texture, like tofu chicken, but the worst part was a strange overpowering unpleasant flavour from some unidentifiable spice of which there was way too much.
However, my issues are not with the food. We were not informed, on the menu or by the server, that the food would come out in random order. Even though I requested the sushi and gyoza to start with, we got mains at the same time. And everything seemed to hit the table all at once - cold food and hot mains, 9 dishes plus rice, bang, bang, bang, like they were rushing us out. Not a fun way to eat.
And then, a half hour before closing, they started cleaning up all around us. No word, just putting chairs on table and sweeping and mopping floor while we were trying to digest and relax a bit after feeling forced to hurry up and eat everything. Not a good look. Generally bad and inconsiderate all around. Although we liked the food and we are in the neighbourhood, we would definitely reconsider...
Read moreFood was very nice and service was friendly. I just have one small complaint that is partly my own fault. At first my friend and I thought the meal prices were very reasonable and being old school we both ordered 1 dish each. However neither of us realized (until too late) that these were small dishes that were more suited to 'sharing' in a larger group. We then understood why we had an empty bowl right from the start. It would be good if menu suggested this somehow. My friend ordered spare ribs, but there were only 5. Very hard to share 5 evenly between 2 people. My very gracious friend let me have the extra one (that's possibly why I'm fat and she's skinny). I ordered fish dumpling type things, but also got 5 of those. Again I got the extra one. The ribs and fish were very nice, just not enough. We should have ordered 3 dishes. As we were still hungry we ordered desserts. However, they were served to each of us and no extra spoons but we shared them anyway. The white chocolate dessert with ice-cream was fantastic. The highlight of the meal. Sorry I forgot to...
