Faan Tong 飯堂 — Restaurant in Ōrākei

I think this place has potential and I wanted to leave a few comments for the owner's to improve their business. I ordered the chicken katsu, and although the chicken was fantastic, the cabbage was far too thick and bitter. They need to go to other Japanese restaurants and see how cabbage is prepared there. Also the business NEED to play some ambient music, it is eerily quite and people will be more drawn to come in with inviting music. It would also be beneficial for them to rearrange the sushi display somehow so people can see when they come in from the front what they are selling OR have brighter LED lighting to make the food stand out and look more palatable. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Platters at Faan Tong!

I ordered three platters from Faan Tong—inari/sandwich/mini burgers, fried foods, and fruits—and each one was absolutely delicious! The sushi was fresh and beautifully presented, the fried foods were crispy and perfectly seasoned, and the fruit platter was a refreshing and perfect combination.

The quality and variety were outstanding, and the portions were generous. The service was also quick and friendly. Highly recommend if looking for fantastic catering. Will be back...

Love their Salmon and Avocado sushi. Too late I only discovered them towards the end of my time at my workplace. Will miss my sushi fix! I always make comments to them how good their sushi is but I notice that starting a nice conversation with the owner (i think) seems to be a hassle for her as her response always turns out cold...
