Quaint little local bakery definitely worth checking out! All baked goods are made in store so it doesn’t taste as processed and overly flavoured as most baked goods. Extra plus is that coffee’s from roastery called Millers (not as common but really good beans!). We had a sugar twist donut (so good and well fried - oil does not taste old - crispy on the outside soft on the inside), ham and cheese toastie, and a strawberry cream maritozzi (can’t say no to a cream bun and it’s not overly sweet too extra plus - cream was also very light) Took away iced strawberry matcha, and some cookies and croissants and they did not disappoint! Do check them out

What a treasure! A neighbour told me about Tower when I said I hadn’t yet found GOOD bread. I just enjoyed a delicious pain d’apple with just the right flaky-to-sweetness ratio. As well as an Americano tat hit the spot. I have a freshly baked loaf of sourdough in my carry bag so fingers crossed it tastes as good as it smells. It’s a gift to be able to chat with the people who literally bake our bread. I’ll be back often. (Now if we could just move some of these parking spaces and have a ‘streatery…’)

Best coffee in New Zealand, lovely atmosphere, always greeted with soul, warmth and a smile. Highly recommend the carrot cake!

I love our high quality neighbourhood bakery/ cafe. “Good things come in small packages”, as the saying goes, and this certainly the case at Fifty Fourth Street. All the food is of the best quality - the sourdough products, the pastries - and it all comes with the friendliest of welcomes. Today tried a new product- a glazed custard bun- just yummylicious👌 We buy their bread, slice it and freeze it - perfect for great sourdough toast with our eggs. So pleased to have is so close...
