I got the worst food poisoning of my life here and had to be taken to hospital, it was that serious and bad. I was in the worst agony I’ve ever been in in my whole life. When I called the store manager, Seef, to let him know what had happened, he was really rude and fobbed me off. No apology or accountability. The other staff didn’t care either and said they would continue to serve the chicken to others. The ‘customer care’ manager Angela continued to deny what was clear evidence that they had caused this (I had written medical proof). Nasty people who try and avoid accountability.
When I raised the huge amount of negative reviews about the store and others that have had food poisoning and mentioned the terrible hygiene and undercooked chicken at this store, she kept dodging it and trying to blame me (!).
When I asked her if she would be OK for vulnerable or elderly people to eat this food and potentially get very sick or die, she did not care. This was scary.
Upon escalating this to govt health and safety officers, they confirmed other recent cases of food poisoning complaints from this store are now going to be doing an investigation.
There is also a complaint now with the Commerce Commission and I have made an application to the Disputes Tribunal to recover ambulance and other costs that were caused by this stores disgusting and dangerous food practices.

First of all who puts a trainee on the counter to serve at the most busiest time of the day (dinner time) when he hardly knew what he was doing and constantly asking a crew member for assistance which was making the queue longer and longer. We waited 10 or more minutes just to be served. Then after waiting another 10minutes for my order the manager decided to come to then come to the front counter and ask if hot wings were apart of my meal which they were he then told me that hot wings would be another 9 minutes away!!!!! So you can imagine my frustration why was I not told about this wait when placing the order! So my partner and I then cancelled the order and wanted a refund which was given. By this time the line in the store was to the door. We watched who entered the drive thru which was full also when we entered the store and that same car had gone through the whole drive thru and another couple more cars to before we were told there was an extra 9 minute wait on top of the 20 minutes we had waited already. DISAPPOINTING and the manager was not sympathetic at all no apology or ANYTHING. Have kept receipts of cancelled order and order from Otahuhu to let both stores aware of the event that took place.
We then drove all the way to to Otahuhu KFC where we recieved the most outstanding service and good food.

Read moreKFC is quick and fast when you want a bite to eat the kids enjoy eating KFC, it is not a healthy option that you need to consider when you know you are giving the children a meal but they enjoy the chicken, hot and spicy and what warms there tummies. The location of this KFC is limited in parking but you can park on the road but be aware you are on a busy road. It looks like it gets busy which is good for KFC, but what I do notice with most fast foods now the ambience of the dining room in warm, clean, tidy toilet rooms is a less of a priority. More so getting sales revenue is more of a priority and seen as the focus which does not include ambience focus when a table or toilet needs cleaning or a warm lobby to sit in while eating. Again customer service should be from the time you enter; take your order, present your order and if eating in the experience not coming in from the cold to being cold while you are eating wouldn't you think so? .
