Auckland Phoenix Palm Motel — Hotel in Ōrākei

Because of a disability we needed a unit/studio with accessible shower in the bathroom. The studio area was basic but clean and very comfortable. The kitchenette was more than adequate providing all that most people would need. The bathroom was in need of an update but it was clean and great towels supplied. The most pleasing aspect of this stay was being able to speak with the management about specific needs and their lovely attitude. We stayed for 18 nights Dec 2023 -Jan 2024 . The Studio is a bit smaller than our expectation, tv is small and high up on the wall with no Sky channels. The queen bed is a bit firm but ok, however the bed sheets felt 'stiff' or 'rough' after they have been changed to new ones, hope they can fix this for more comfortable sleep. Manager is friendly, would change the towels and do vacuum when there's a request. However, the air that came out of the vacuum cleaner was smelly when we were there! Otherwise, an OK...

I would not recommend staying here. The management is very poor and unprofessional, and the place is simply not worth the money they charge. The rooms were not clean on arrival – dusty, dirty carpets, and the bathroom clearly hadn’t been looked after properly.
