Without any plans came here for a quick dinner. Jiangnan cuisine is somehow a little different from your ideas for the Chinese food. It's originally from Eatern China where you may have heard of the city Shanghai, Nanjing and Hangzhou that particular areas.
Famous for Xiao Long Bao, the small and juicy steamed buns
It tastes sweeter than other regions of China, it also symbolises the region is wealthier because they have the ability to consume sugar in the past.
Using plenty of sugar, enjoying dark soy sauce, and vinegar, not a fan of spicy and chilli you can feel it when you have a bite.
The classic spring onions oil noodles, sour and spicy soup and braised pork belly with preserved vegetables are the three signature foods that I ordered.
Not bad, up to the standard, the only issue is the portion is big for only two people 😂
Yet the price is not economy so it is suggested to have a table of people to enjoy more food...

Read moreThis place is one of my favorite place to grab authentic Shanghai food. Their lunch menu has quite a lot to choose from and at reasonable pricing. Recommend their shenjian bao (pan fried pork buns) and xiao long bao (steamed pork buns/dumplings), both of them has a very juicy and yummy fillings. The xiao long bao has a delicate wrapper which could be a challenge to pick up, and on the other hand the shenjian bao has a thicker crust encasing lava hot fillings...
