*Updated 30/12/23: Front of house staff as friendly as always. However, once our meals arrived, we knew something had changed. Bread accompanying eggs and toast was so thinly sliced that it was clear some corner cutting was afoot. This was more demonstrable in the normally excellent Vietnamese dishes. Both the beef salad and spring rolls were OK. But the main change was in the nuoc mam dressing. It was watery and the balance of sweet, sour, salty, and hot was way off. Our suspicion of a change in ownership was confirmed once it was confirmed that the back of house had changed. While we are not averse to change of business ownership, what tends to happen is new owners look to change things. A face-lift is one thing, but changing tried and true recipes is another. Hope they get the balance right. Good service and food. Solid 4⭐

No complaints from me pretty solid cafe. I got French toast. Idk why cos I actually am not a big fan of it, so that was silly of me hahaha. But for people who like it I think you’ll really enjoy. Has a good mixture of flavours and pear too! Which I haven’t seen used in a sweet setting before. Also I am always hunting for a good banana choc chip muffin and they had them! Yay! There was a complaint about an Asian worker at the cafe in one of the other reviews. It was about being too angry or something along those lines. If it’s the one I’m thinking of she was actually very lovely. I can see how they might have come to that conclusion, she’s very assertive but I wouldn’t call her angry. People just need to chill on their sensitivity levels lol. Cheers for the yum food!

🥰A random stop after the teens morning drop off and what a sweet find. - this cosy quaint Cafe is tucked away on a corner of a Main Street and residential area. A gorgeous day today brought the suns warmth through the big glass windows. The best coffee and delicious Brisket Pie to start the day 🙌 - Perfect combo whanau. The lovely Barista’s welcoming demeanour was just beautiful to witness she knew all the her regular customers by name, this certainly says a lot. Thank you for the delicious Coffee, definitely my new quiet escape once the College drop offs are done. It’s accessible, atmosphere is warm and friendly and best of all food made with lots of love and care 🤍 See you again real soon.

We first visited this cafe a year ago when we were wanting some soup - I had a look on google and Parkside popped up. We tried the chicken pho/ beef pho and were HOOKED - and we’ve been regular customers here ever since! BEST banter and hospitality from the team, and one staff member in particular has been the most warm, friendly and HILARIOUS person we have had hosting us at any cafe before. She remembers things we have told her on previous visits and always asks makes us laugh - makes our visit there 10/10. Myself and my boyfriend have tried many of the dishes there. Some of our faves would def be both chicken and beef pho, Mince on toast, chicken on focaccia, Moroccan lamb burger, sweet corn fritter, bruschetta and beef cheek stew to make a few. If you’re a fan of a delicious meal, fair pricing, comfy setting and the best staff service (I have to mention the best hot chocolates in Mount Albert, possibly Auckland) then go and try...

Authentic Vietnamese food at night fused with a westernised breakfast menu. One of the best phos I've had in Auckland so far, generous serving and super tasty, both beef and chicken is nice. The chicken is poached so may seem dry but still tasty. Coffee is on point, lots of alternative milks available.. Green curry vegetarian is beautiful, range of veges and full of flavour and the fish dish was exquisite, beautiful balance of flavours and fish was cooked perfectly. The bao was a great way to start the meal, again full of flavour and generous serving of meat. Highly recommend this place for authentic Vietnamese food with a nice atmosphere and affordavble prices. The kids menu is great and perfect serving size. Big breakfast is a crowd pleaser! They also have cabinet food like scones and slices for lighter meals. Cafe located right next to rocket park. Service is awesome especially when Ange is there, she's very...
