Avo Sushi — Restaurant in Bay of Islands-Whangaroa Community

We went to Avo Sushi for the first time on Tuesday but had to go back on Wednesday and now today for more. The sushi was pretty expensive however we got their sushi at around 4.30-5.30pm when they were finshing up so it was half price. We found the sushi we got delicious, very tasty and fresh with lots of variety. There were a lot of vegetarian sushi available and many other types of sushi....

Deceptive - the only way to buy food is to get the box (no plates, no bags available) which is then rung up at 50c at the till. No sign indicating this will be charged for, too late once you have selected sushi and put it in the box. Since there is outdoor seating, reusable plates and/or bags should be an option, not unmarked costly boxes....

Lovely staff and handy location but this was by far the worst sushi I've ever had. I have half of it away and the other half I only ate because I was so hungry and it was takeout. The sushi was dry, chewy, and just tasted awful. I won't be back and I...
