Thank you for your response Tara, I really appreciate it. I'll amend the scores based on my own (non-coeliac!) experience but leave the original review below to give context to your reply.

I appreciate that mistakes can be made, unfortunately they can have serious consequences but it appears you know that already! Some do not and don't take it seriously and because the effects are delayed (almost exactly 2 hours for my wife, every time it happens) the customer is usually long gone and the business owner is none the wiser.

You also have a frustrated phone message from me waiting for you in the morning (recorded prior to your response) so apologies for that as well!

Thanks for your quick response, Tara. Hope you're feeling better, in the nasty germ season. Haven't had a chance to respond until now. We were there around 12pm. The missing item was the avocado. After I was served, I enquired about the item and was told that it was out of season. Maybe pop the word seasonal in brackets. I'm not sure what was in the boxes, perhaps coffee. There was also a large bag sitting on the highchair. 👍🏼 Must say, food was just right! Front staff were lovely! A couple of suggestions; update the menu boards, or let the customers know of the changes when they are ordering, freshen the condiment containers on the tables, as the salt is corroding the metal lids, move the boxes from the customers dining area, front of counter, a little pricey for the experience.

Today we visited Feast Cafe in Kerikeri, and I must say, it was a lovely experience! I had been craving chilli eggs and creamy mushrooms, and I was pleasantly surprised by how generous the portions were. Each bite was absolutely delicious!

My husband was happy to finally find a cafe that serves his long black in a decent mug size. He enjoyed the eggs Benny, which was cooked to perfection.
