UPDATE : Since previous review we went back, this yime there was 5 of us for brunch. Despite a short hold up on one meal of 5 mins - everything was great. A total redemption. I reiterate the food here is really good because the owner is involved and cares. Great staff too. So happy to reassess my review. Also happy to recommend to our guests.

Original review: This is a great place. We go here 2 - 3 times a month for breakfast. We have regular guests stay and CC's is on our list of recommendations for good food at a good price. However so many times we've been let down by some basic things. I like the eggs bene' on toast - without spinach - and a side order of rosti (it's yum). So many times I get the eggs bene' on the rosti - but no toast (which I paid for) - or it's got an absolute heap of spinach - or both situations at once. Normally I'll remove the spinach, but there's a lot.. I'll request the missing toast. 50/50 chance it'll appear. I do so politely everytime. This morning it was missing toast again (sigh), I requested the toast and it was delivered (with a smile) - that was fine. We decided to purchase a couple of donuts for later plus an extra coffee for me, before leaving. After 15 minutes we had to leave and advised staff I never received the coffee. I was given an apology (appreciated) then advised I could get it "next time" I come in as they'd remember me. Sorry , couldn't remember a basic order from 15 minutes ago - to remembering me a week or 2 later ? Nope, I just requested the price of the coffee back and after a little 'tooing and froing' got $4 in change back. All's fine, $4 wasn't going to kill me, but the regular mistakes we've encountered is annoying and embarrassing as we don't want that discussion in the first place. We were there for 20 plus minutes and I had to go up to the counter to ask them to come and take our drink orders. We were asked of we had a show to go too, which we did, and told them it started at 8pm. At 7.20pm still no food. Another guest went up to the counter and said we need to cancel our food order as we did not want to shovel our meal down and run to the show feeling bloated. Oh it is only going to be 5-10minutes. Thought we’d try CC’s Cafe as not been since it changed owners a while back. The opening times seem inconsistent across Google, Facebook and Web Page. I phoned and booked a table fine. We weren’t sure what to expect on a quiet Sunday afternoon. A new girl was being trained which was no problem. The starters were pleasant. I’ve not heard of oranges in Italian salad before, but was surprisingly nice. The mains were delicious, presumably home-made pasta almost melt in the mouth.
