Turkish To Go — Restaurant in Bay of Plenty

I’ve been to the shops many times for minimum 8 years. I worked in the town centre and many times I bought my lunch from your shop. I’ve noticed every time we get a takeaway dish the amount of food is less and less. Tonight we order 3 takeaway dishes and my felafel salad had hardly any salad, any sauce so I decided to ring the shop to let you know that after being a customer for many years I feel literally ripped off. For my surprise I got told by one of the staff member I should drive from my place back to the shop and show them how small it was. Really? So there is no consistency on what size food you serve? Shame on you guys if you don’t have a standard or training to provide an accurate consistent service. The salad was dry and beyond small size! I try to support locals but there is so much customers can do for you. if you think putting your prices up and making dishes size smaller that’s a very good way to loose the customer you had for many years. Remember those are the customer that have kept you in business too. Business owners and customer is a even exchange where we customers need your service but also you need customers to be able to open your doors everyday and pay your staff. This poor mentality just push people away and there is no way you gonna be able to keep your business going. These takeaway salad with meat dishes were very delicious. My partner is very fusy when getting takeaways or eating out and the large meat salad with BBQ sauce, sweet chilli, and satay sauce he chowed down! at first he was like this is too big for a large but he also managed to share the chips with me too (which were very tasty as some chips are always soggy or too hard these were just right), I had a smaller meat salad with aioli and garlic yoghurt it was tasty. I also asked to not have any onions in each and they listened to me. I would show you the dishes but instead I chose to take pictures of the beautiful lights when I arrived there. But the inside area is adorned in true Turkish style. Also my food was very prompt. I also overheard a regular group leaving and the guy saying "thankyou as always a pleasure again to eat your food here". Also they do pizza's here too. One thing I also loved after eating my dinner is I didn't feel bloated, I felt nourished and had really enjoyed my meal. Wow. Seriously the the most UNDERWHELMING I have ever had. This is the second time now. No jalapenos, and asked for hot chili and didn't even notice anything . I love my turkish food and this is definitely the worst I have ever had. Turkish to go in greerton is good. Fez kebabs in Payes Pa is the best. And the turkish shop in Te Puke is also great. WAY WAY more flavour from all these other shops. I could barely taste any of the sauces. No loyalty cards either. Fez kebabs does have them. Seriously the owners need to go try other shops because they are leagues ahead of this. The rice and chicken was good but the overall experience was totally disappointing, twice.
