Buns Bakery — Restaurant in Christchurch

I don't like to give average reviews and Its been awhile since I ordered a pork bun, these used to be great (I think it used to be about $7.80ish) but what happened to the size of the bun??? The bun used to be much larger than the size of a mcds cheeseburger and almost fill the bag it comes in and yet the price has gone up to close to $10 but yet the size of the bun is ridiculous, I know food costs have gone up but the huge change in the size of bun and the price increase for what you get now has me not wanting to go back - would not have ordered if I knew how much it had changed, it's not enough to feed my child for a meal now. (if the price was still around $7 for this size I think it would be ok,) but not the decrease in size and big increase in $$. Feeling very...

It is like $25 for a large roast here,the Lady who served me last night made my plastic container roast look horrible, no presentation. Comparively you can go to any decent restaurant in Christchurch for a Roast and pay the same price. The food is lacklustre and bland. I went to Australia 16 months ago and a large Roast was $19, astounding isn't it, Buns Bakery profit margin. The atmosphere, generally criminal types, homeless and junkies, sometimes awkward and intimidating.

Good range of quick food and beverages. Long established bakery with a friendly team of staff. Over the years they have had quite a variety of staff with varying degrees of etiquette. But I would say it’s Always been a good experience

A good selection of cake, treats, cream buns and doughnuts, fresh sandwiches, and a massive selection of drink offerings.
