My wife and I are from Asia, on holiday here in the South Island. We drove here for lunch and picked Little Vietnam. My wife had her all time favorite, fried pork vermicelli while I chose beef pho. Hands down the best beef pho in town. The broth is rich and flavourful, the meat is tender and generously portioned, and there’s the obligatory fistful of herbs that all good phos need. The owners will hail you like a long lost friend even at their busiest and seeing all their pots bubbling away behind them is a joyous sight.
