A very fast and tasty dinner here with authentic Vietnamese and Malaysian flavours. The fish roti was lovely with a crispy crust and tasty spices. The summer rolls were light and fresh and had were reminiscent of travelling in Vietnam. The slow cooked pork was nicely spiced but overcooked to the point that the non fatty portions were dry. The lemon grass chicken was fantastic and the star of the show. Le Xom lager was awesome with spicy food. The Singapore Sling was the usual awfulness but that's just what that drink is 😉. Atmosphere was cosy and not too noisy. Could do with a few extras in the toilets like a mirror and wall hangings. Service was friendly and FAST! My partner ordered the Green Curry and I ordered the honey chicken. The Curry had capers throughout (not mentioned on menu) but the worst of all was loaded with RAW potato. My chicken was not 'crispy' like it said in the menu, it was slimy and soaked in sauce. I didn't mention anything about my chicken (even though I only had two pieces) However my partner mentioned the curry was FULL of raw potato when we went to pay, and the waiter said 'oh we must have rushed it' Then proceeded to charge us for the whole meal and clearly did not care at all. Went here tonight with two friends. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were friendly but not very present and didn’t come to offer us water or menus for about 20 minutes until we asked. Food was very tasty but for the price was poorly presented and lacked variety. It would have been better if we had shared our food and ordered something vegetable heavy but when we asked the staff they didn’t suggest we share.
