Hi, My partner and I visited here yesterday afternoon hoping to enjoy some nice sushi in a lovely setting. We had been looking forward to this all week as we love sushi and enjoy trying different places regularly. Unfortunately your staff member who didn’t appear to be very focused or bothered advised us that we could only takeaway and not dine in as she had finished cleaning up!? This was about 5.15pm, I asked her what time you close, she said 6pm. We were a little confused at this stage and hungry so continued choosing our sushi while wondering where we were going to eat this. She advised us the best time to come is 2pm as the food is fresh, I was half way through picking my sushi and was not confident in eating this at all. Pretty disappointed as there was no one else in the restaurant and it shouldn’t have been a problem for us to dine in, we had to drive off and eat it in the car! This left a bad taste in our mouth and we weren’t comfortable paying for this at all. What a terrible experience, we won’t be going back! Perhaps the closing time should...

Now occupied by Mugen. Plenty of parking spaces available. Modern and simple setting. Feels like queuing up in a college canteen 😄😄😄. Very clean and tidy throughout 👍👍👍
27/10/2017 - This is a self service buffet. You can pick and choose from the large selections of sushi! 🍣🍙🍱. This is the only place in Christchurch that I know (for now) that you can pick and choose your own sushi pieces. So many options to choose from and you won't be disappointed. Taste: delicious and yummy 😋. There are plenty of flavours and they charge by each sushi piece. Varies from $1 to $2 (+/-). Well worth it. Plenty of seats or you can take it away. You can bring your own lunch box to store the sushi 🍣.

Read moreA nice quiet area, with a sushi buffet basically. The food is amazing you go up to all the different foods, and grab what you want adding it to your plate, at the end you pay for EACH peice you grab.
Some restaurants do it like this so they can charge more bc it's like 3 dollars for one peice of sushi, but yes the food explodes in your mouth, but it's charging alot more than what you can normally get.
Highly recommend trying each of the foods just seeing what you like; they also have a small description of what's in it like sauce and stuff under the names and price. Me personally I dislike the Octopus balls, it's very interesting the texture reminds me of a Japanese desert, a Mochi ball?
Overall amazing, food is brilliant....
