We are four people and we like having our coffees at Robert Harris. We've been going to this place for coffee everyday for many years. We like sitting there especially at the one close to Countdown. We usually have very good service and that's why we go there. we've never had any problems there before. However today around 2:30 we went there as usual, it was pretty empty. By luck, a new barista with short dark hair who usually works in the other Robert Harris in Northlands was taking orders at the till. I went to the counter with my loyalty card to order a large mocha, large latte and a frappe. Usually we get stamps for all drinks ordered. She refused to give me a stamp for the frappe and said they don't that. She was very snappy, not smiley and definitely doesn't have customer service skills. She also didn't know how to use the till. She brought the mocha and frappe and slammed them on the table without saying anything or making eye contact. I asked her where the marshmallows were for my mocha but she was rude and said we don't use marshmallows. All Mocha's around the whole world have marshmallows with them. It's really sad to see this place start to go down hill especially with customer service and we would think twice about going there if...
Read moreI took a friend here for lunch last Friday May 11th at 1pm. The banging of plates out the back was so noisy it made people jump and 2 people left because of the noise. Lots of shouting from out the back and then a scream, and a lady in her 50's rushed out and grabbed what appeared to be her granddaughter and gave her a hug, in front of the queue of people. Then the tallish dark girl who was making coffee started yelling out what she was making to no one in particular. It was the worst experience in a café I have ever seen and we will not be returning to this place for meals. There was an Indian (I think) lady who was waiting on tables and she was awesome. The staff at this place need to be sorted, they do not smile or greet anyone, they all look dirty in their uniforms and they don't have their hair nice or makeup on. The owner needs to take a stroll down to the new Muffin Break and Jamaica Blue and watch the staff that those places and maybe have his staff upskilled or he will loose a lot of business when the new part of the building...
Read moreHave just returned from shopping at North-lands Mall. I had my morning coffee with a slice of sultana cake, which was wrapped in glad wrap. Not at all happy with my experience. I had just got my self seated when the coffee arrived, I was very surprised at how fast it was made as the cafe was fairly busy, in face I got the last free table. Had a bite of my sultana cake and it was old and stale, I expected more for $4.80. Had a wee sip of my coffee (black) and it was lukewarm. I said it, very discretely, to a boy who was clearing tables and he mumbled "oh, sorry". On my way out I mentioned it to the girl making the coffee, who had served me initially, and she said 'there was no way it could be cool and it was fast because the water is always boiling and the whole coffee making process only takes 32 secs', in other word I was lying!!!!!!! I left feeling I would not be returning to that cafe again, I would make sure that my bad experience would be known about by others, and came home and had a lovey hot home plunger...
