Having consumed about 10,000 pies in my 60 yrs of scoffing I feel qualified enough to know a good pie. Apart from being flavour some, there needs to be a generous meat to sauce/gravy ratio, the pastry must be light and COOKED, and above all the temperature has to be at the scoffable level. Those establishments that serve thermo-nuclear hot pies need to be closed down immediately for health and safety reasons.
