Unfortunately, the old owner of this shop was horrible which resorts bad reputation of Muffin Break, but since the new owners come in. The atmosphere and food have sky rocketed. I've left a in detail review of this shop below.

My partner and I usually buy coffee and hot chocolate from muffin break at Te Awa the base in Hamilton, NZ and the hot beverage is always great along with the customer service. This afternoon (22/11/24), at around 5:28pm I was served by a lady whom I asked to scan my loyalty card but she refused to saying it should have been scanned prior to payment being made. She didn’t even ask me if I had the card at the time of charging me even though I had it right in my hand. The hot chocolate was also below average too. A friend and I visited the coffee shop on 7th Feb 2021. we paid $100 + $5 cash and were given the wrong change (i.e. $50 short). because we were distracted by a number of things we forgot to check the change.

i went back to them a day or so later and they agreed to own up the mistake it and gave us the right change.
