Had been here the end of last year and was definitely 5 star, had ordered the creamy mushrooms meal that came with an abundance of mushrooms, delicious creamy sauce with added parmesan and bacon rashers, a poached egg, spinach, coffee was delicious. Went today, so, so, so disappointed, after waiting an hour for the food - the mushrooms were half the amount in an overpowering cheesy sauce, not creamy, egg and spinach no longer come with it. We subbed out the bacon for spinach and added a poached egg. I have never had boiled spinach with absolutely no flavour, tasted just like water, no oil, butter, salt, just water, there was a plain piece of sourdough on the plate without any oil, butter, mayo, nothing offered, just dry toast lol. Surprisingly though they are one of the few cafes that have tobasco on hand, although sadly this had obviously not been used for at least 5 years and was stored in the refrigerator and the chili had separated from the liquid and h Was no longer red but brown in the bottle that had only 5 mls left in it. There was a young lady making coffees though who was super nice and made the experience more tolerable. Felt ill after eating it, coffee was burnt, and my daughter's mocca was like a hot chocolate, a pump bottle of water was $6!!! used to be our go to cafe but standards have dropped considerably over the last couple of months ,the food we had was far from satisfactory ,wasnt even busy and they forgot to cook one of the meals ordered ,will not be returning unless standards improve in response to the owners comment i wrote 3 reviews today i did not visit all of these places today ,nothing was mentioned about your portionsor your prices just the standard and quality of the food and yes you did forget one of the meals and you wasnt even busy ,this is not the first time you have forgotten to cook one of the meals it happened to us at the end of april also ,that time i let it go but not this time ,your kitchen is letting you down and thats coming from a chef with over 40 years experience and if you cant take constructive criticism i suggest you get out of...
