Sunny Roast — Restaurant in Hibiscus and Bays

I waited in the line behind a couple and then a young girl to get served. When it was my turn the male behind the counter waved me aside and started to serve the man behind me. I said politely, I was next, but was ignored and had to wait again. The man behind me was apologetic even though it wasn't his fault. I ordered a large roast meal, for two of us, and asked for mint sauce and gravy. No mint sauce and a minute amount of gravy. It was all pretty tasteless. The two cheese cakes were terrible. The base at the bottom was like eating a mouth full of flour, and although they were frozen when I got them, once they were thawed, they tasted a bit off. They were ineatable. I'm taking them back today to get my money back. Cost us $50 and was by no way worth it. Will not be back and will be going to silverdale next time we feel like a roast...

Sunday is always roast day for me, so I decided to stop by Sunny's Roast, and I was pleasantly surprised! The place is bright, clean, and the team is incredibly friendly.

I ordered the medium roast pork meal for $20, and it was fantastic. While the vegetable selection was limited to carrots and peas, the roast vegetables potatoes, kumara and pumpkin were packed full of flavor, and the portion of meat was huge.

Had a beautiful Large Pork Roast. The staff asked me if I wanted the gravy in a seperate container which I did. The large size was plenty for my wife and me. 5 huge potatoes, 2 kumara, pumpkin and carrots and peas. Meat was well cooked and juicy. Gravy was tasty as well. I put the veges in an airfryer when I got home to crisp them up. It w as a great meal. Suggest you try them out.
