This place was suggested to me as I do like trying new places. Came around the start of their lunch service. We were greeted as we walked in and seated with menus immediately. The interior of the restaurant was nice, modernly decorated, clean and had an inviting atmosphere. The menu has a nice range to choose from and pricing was fairly reasonable. The sizing of the meals are the "yum cha" serving size so they are smaller than the standard dish size. We ordered a bunch of dishes and a couple of drinks. Fried rice, pork ribs, chicken wings with 7 spices, bbq pork buns, black bean sesame balls, lemon ice tea and feijoa apple juice. The man who waited on our table was lovely, friendly and welcoming (we later found out was the owner). The other wait staff were also friendly, attentive and proactive in clearing our table of empty plates etc and asked if we needed anything. I absolutely loved the chicken nibbles with the seven spices and their black bean sesame balls are the best I've ever had in Auckland. The ribs were tasty and the rest of the dishes were nice too. I would gladly pay a bit more for bigger serve sizing because the food is morish and did want more of each dish. The staff are great and we enjoyed the dining experience here overall. I will be a returning customer and cannot wait to try the rest of what the menu has to offer. I recommended this place to another family member and they have now made it their weekly sunday lunch...

Heng Zone is an absolute hidden gem in Burswood! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a clean, modern space and incredibly welcoming staff. The vibe is relaxed but professional — the kind of place where you know you're in for something good.

The food? Simply outstanding. Every dish we tried was packed with authentic flavor, perfectly balanced seasoning, and beautifully presented. Whether you're a fan of crispy snacks, savory stir-fries, or comforting noodle dishes, Heng Zone nails it every time. The portion sizes are generous and the prices are very reasonable for the quality.

Service is efficient and friendly, and even during busy hours, the staff handles everything with calm and grace. It's no surprise they've earned a 4.7-star rating — I'd go higher if I could!

Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving fresh, delicious Chinese food in East Auckland. Heng Zone isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a place you’ll want to keep...

Really really good tasting Malaysian chinese food. Even better the price is affordable too. The short haired lady who was wearing pink was also very nice with the service. Everyone else was just ok and not really tried to look at us even though we had our hands up trying to get attention.

Anyway, the baked tomato pork chop rice is quite authentic cantonese style and the pork was quite tender and grilled nicely. The fried rice is a simple egg fried rice but is very good. The same rice is used in the roast chicken dish which the chicken was roasted perfectly. The only thing I would comment on is that the chicken would be better if it came with either a chilli dipping sauce for Malaysian style or salt and pepper dip for cantonese style. The singapore fried vermicelli had the strongest flavour of the 3 dishes we ordered and it had a really nice curry flavour. Overall, I loved all the dishes and...
