One star is being generous. Bad customer service from the outset. The girl taking my drinks order and the older woman beside her lacked warmth, friendliness nor any sign of customer service. When the drinks order arrived, there was several issues with the order: Only 3 hot beverages were brought over. I asked where the other one was. The young guy who made the coffees and brought them over said “you ordered only 3”. Incorrect. I clearly ordered 4 drinks. The Cappuccino was not half strength- which I specifically asked for All drinks were requested to be “extra hot”. They were not extra hot.
A few minutes later the guy brought over the 4th beverage, along with the receipt which showed I was charged for 3 drinks only. No apology was given nor was anything else said by the staff.
Upon leaving I went up to the counter and waited to be served, with the receipt I was given. At this point I noticed a fly in the cabinet with the food. Unhygienic.
Whilst at the counter I asked if they expected me to pay for the 4th beverage - was giving me the receipt without saying anything implying I am to pay for their error? Or perhaps the 4th drink was complimentary given their order stuff up. The girl and older woman looked at me with confusion and with a look of disdain towards me. Not sure if the older woman is the manager but if she is she needs customer service 101 - as do the other two customer facing staff working there Sunday afternoon.
The guy behind the coffee machine instructed them to charge me for the hot chocolate. Again no apology was given for their stuff up and the poor experience I had with my family.
That was the first, and last time we will go to Robert Harris cafe in Botany. Definitely do not recommend Robert Harris Botany.

I went to order food and drinks worth $15 and the lady asked me whether I was here to study. I told her that I was keen to study here, hence, why I ordered both food and drinks. Then, she told me to pack the food as takeaway and to leave the cafe during peak hours and go to the library to study, as “there were not enough tables to accommodate all customers” and that “rental is too high,” so they need more customers. As a customer, who is paying for both food and drinks, do I not have the rights to sit inside the cafe? Why am I not being treated equally to those who have also purchased food and drinks but are just there to talk? I also saw a few people who were also studying inside, but did not purchase a drink, nor did they have food from Robert Harris. Furthermore, I don’t think there were too many people inside the cafe, so I did not see the reason to ask me to leave during peak hours after buying both food & beverage. The lady who told me to leave was incredibly rude. This isn’t the first time I was treated really bad by her either, I truly felt discriminated for being a student. Woman taking our order had no customer service skills, we went through our whole order (2 banana smoothies, ham club sandwich, steak and cheese pie and fruit custard tart) and then she asked what was after the smoothies. She was not friendly or welcoming in any way. Pretty sure the only thing she said to us was “sorry what was after the smoothies?”. The steak and cheese pie arrived with no joke a droplet of tomato sauce so we had to get up to request more. We had finished all our food and was still waiting for the smoothies (this was about 20 minutes after our order being taken). The servers took the sauce away at which point we asked about the smoothies and they were brought out about 7 minutes later. Most of the smoothie was ice cream so not the healthy option we thought we were choosing.
