WORST EXPREINCE!!!!

If I could give less than 1 star I would! Absolutely atrocious people, upon ordering I asked SEVERAL times if the item I wanted didn't contain certain products. Or if they did, they could prepare one without. The girl nodded along with a blank expression.

I get my order back home for lunch and what do you know!

Everything i asked not to be in it was right there staring me in the face! After calling them and trying to explain over and over that they put in all of the things I explicitly asked them not to, they told me to come back and abruptly slammed down the phone. Back at the restaurant the senior lady whom i assume is the manager throws the money at me over the counter, then proceeds to literally launch my returned order through the kitchen door and tells me to never return. Didnt even bother to hear me out. Not that I would return after this fiasco.

So for anyone with specific dietary requirements or food allergies all i can say is BEWARE!!

Not only are these people rude and dismissive. They also dont have a firm enough grip on the english language to understand that they may be poisoning you!!! While I'm aware that I'm also responsible for finding out what's in my food, I did thoroughly question them prior to placing my order. It's their responsibility to understand their clients in english instead of just nodding along to make a sale!

Zero stars on every count! Instead of apologising and handling the situation with grace they act like...

I'm always a little disappointed by Bonsai. Having visited quite a few times over the years the food quality has rarely impressed me. However it's fast, affordable, convenient and right in the middle of town, so I still find myself returning. Today I picked up what I thought was a standard 8 pack of sushi but noticed a sugary syrupy sauce leaking from the plastic container and onto the seat of my car. It was apparently hidden underneath the sushi - very odd, no other sushi place in town adds a sauce like this. It wasn't very nice either - almost tasteless in-fact, and had absorbed into the underside of all my sushi. Stick to just ginger, wasabi and a soy sauce packet unless customers specifically order extras...

Came here to dine in with my daughter. I ordered a bento box which was a little disappointing as they didn't have all the seafood that it says on the menu. Also the tempura wasn't light and crispy, but dense and greasy. The prawns were rotten and when I told the lady she just smiled and said she would tell the kitchen and then charged me full price. Also the decor is awful, if you look up to the weird sheet that hangs from the ceiling you can see all the dead flies sitting on it. Would not recommend this place to anyone, for really nice sushi try Bento...
