Industry — Restaurant in Invercargill City

Industry is amazing! Food, staff, coffee everything! I never have anything to complain about. Food really is top notch always fresh and made in house even home made hollandaise that is Devine! (you don't get much of that these days in hospitality most places use the microwave abit to much but not here at industry!) lots of gluten free options which is great for me being coeliac. Coffee is excellent and if your after a Chai latte it's the best you'll get in town! Iced drinks are so good and with fresh whipped cream on top! None of that canned whipped cream. Nice place and the service and staff were impeccable. Price wise I thought it quite acceptable- not cheap but not highway robbery either. I was there for breakfast - the food was a bit unusual for my taste and liking. Personal choice and preference - but I didn’t think it fantastic. The hash browns not overly nice - over cooked to the point of being hard and they had a bizzare flavour. Just really didn’t enjoy the breakfast as much as I thought I was going to. The large cheese roll, although good in size and content was bland. Needed to have a bit more flavour to them as well. The service speed was good and the staff were great. I really enjoy "Industry." I think it has a lot of potential. However, it always let's me down with how loud it is. I imagine my fiancée probably said the same about me when she first met me, but overtime I grew on her. Likewise "Industry" continues to grow on me.

The staff are always lovely, and the food and coffee never dissappint. However don't be fooled, this place is surprisingly loud on the inside, and sadly loses a few stars from me because of it. It's hard to go out to a nice place for a drink or meal but know that you aren't going to be able to have a very good conversation.
