Ulutoa & Sons — Restaurant in Māngere-Ōtāhuhu

I used to like this place but recently I bought chopsuey and it's tasteless. Faiai elegi was too salty and dried with not enough coconut cream... And to make it worse, my cuz ordered 50 taro for $4 each last week ($200 total) based on the size they have at counter display and to our surprise, the majority of the taro they provided were halved and pieces were too small even the taro pieces @ $2 at the Chinese dairy in Otara are way bigger than theirs...it was a total rip off that we ended up buying more taro pieces from a Chinese restaurant at $3 which are way bigger than their ones for our faalavelave... I would never go there any more and I would not recommend them to any of my colleagues...

I only went to buy koko, and their koko was a whopping $30!!!! Anyways, had to buy because my elderly Mum keeps asking for koko, cannot find any around Akl. I decided to buy food for my elderly Mum and husband. He loves mulipipi (turkey tails), before he started eating it, he found a lot of feather 🪶 ends still fixed in the turkey tail, which it's pretty disgusting if you are going to eat it. Went in female at the counter this morning was really good and on point with communication probably just a tip would be having way finding signs in the front so it's a lot easier to see the cost. Health & Safety was in place including CCTV footage during my observation overall would say CCTV monitors would most likely be behind the counter just as a thought of health and safe procedures.
