Ordered 1 fettuccine for my son, clearly stating it was for him (as I had already eaten, this was all discussed clearly) and after 1 bite realised they had put pepper all over his meal. I tasted 2 bites and found a peppercorn stuck in my throat. So then went to go get water, as after 10 minutes, noone had refilled the water, not did we have a jug. Desperately needing water from pepper on the meal is actually dangerous as I could have started finding it hard to breathe as I'm not used to so much pepper (any pepper, it didn't state anything was spicy).
Then I had this waitress stand and watch me at close range before I asked her what was wrong and she told me 'oh we usually fill the glasses up at your table'. The way she said it, was not sorry at all that it hasn't been filled up earlier. And I needed water and couldn't sit longer, as noone was attentive enough to notice we didn't have enough water. 2 little glasses - why not give us a jug from the start, if you weren't going to refill our glasses (definitely noone was going around filling up glasses).
The chef put pepper all over his meal, so he didn't eat any. Hence why the 1 star. I asked for them to make him another one and thought he brought a new one, till I noticed it had pepper on it again. Confusing. Why would you think it's ok to put pepper all over someone's fettuccine let alone a young childs.
I didn't realise till I tried some once I got home (I thought I saw pepper on the meal, but until I tasted it, didn't realise it was pepper still), that they hadn't done anything with the meal. That's not okay to put pepper all over a meal and not normal to be okay with. I wish I had walked out and not paid as this place did not provide me with what I asked for. A fettuccine for a child. People can request pepper, but once you put it all over a meal, that's inedible and I wouldn't have wasted $32 for it considering neither of us could eat it. They should have given me a new one, like I thought they did, until later when I got home. Also, provide jugs of water. It's dangerous showering pepper on whole meals without asking and then letting glasses sit clearly not full...
Read moreSeeing the google rating of 4.3 on google I was excited to try this place. We had to spend a little more than other eateries and after a long week I thought it would be worth it. I was very disappointed. We entered the restaurant and was guided to a table. Had to ask for menus, behind us where we were sitting they have drawers attached to the seating which vibrates when they close them. One of the waitresses was very loud shouting right next to me while I was trying to eat. We ordered the La Familia, which included “chefs special salad, pizza, pasta and a jug of soft drink” I saw a plate of lettuce being delivered to a table and I thought “that better not be the “chef special” but it was. Literally lettuce with croutons and dressing. It was more a “lazy special” the pizza we ordered was lamb, it was ok, not a lot of flavour quite bland, the pasta (fettuccine) was terrible, I don’t know how to explain the flavour basically like cooked pasta with nothing added. And the portion size was so small. The coke jug was watered down. The food at the daycare I work at tastes better! 😭 For $69 it was very disappointing. I spoke with the manager and he apologised and tried to give us other things, we didn’t want anything else. He gave us a piece of tiramisu which was actually really nice and offered 10% off the bill, he said he would like us to come back once things have changed, but being so disappointed I couldn’t. Representing an “Italian style” needs to reflect that. I hope changes are made....
Read moreI came here on a Friday night with friends for dinner. We ordered 3 pizzas, burrata and bread and 2 bowls of fries for 5 of us . The food was all really good, as well the the cocktails. The thing that annoyed me was that we ordered a second bottle of wine at about 9pm, little did we know that this place closes at 9. So they closed up around us, putting chairs on the tables, turned the music off and lights on. If they were closing then why did they allow us to order another bottle of wine? They could of just said sorry we are closing soon and we would have been ok with that. Its just another place that cares very little about people. I remember when I worked in hospo, you went around to all the tables and asked all the customers if they would like a coffee before we cleaned the machine for the night. I tried to order an espresso martini only to be told that the coffee machine had been cleaned already, thats when I looked at the menu and it said it closed at 9pm (it was 930 at this point). I understand they all wanted to go home, but just frustrated by the lack of communication and customer service. I cant remember the last time I didnt feel like an inconvenience...
