Had an awful experience here last week Saturday. For some reason I am unable to attach photos of the matcha latte i ordered but it was very clumpy. I did try mixing it myself but was still getting chunks of matcha powder with every sip. So I went back to ask if they could mix it or throw it in the blender and the manager started getting very aggressive. She told me they ran out of syrup so they were using powder. Which is fine with me all I asked was they mix it again as I got it as a takeaway so didn’t have anything solid to mix the drink with. She honestly ruined my shopping day with the service she provided and someone should speak to her because it was so embarrassing with how loud and aggressive she was being towards me for just requesting they mix my drink. I wasn’t asking for a refund, I wasn’t asking for a new drink - I was only asking they take the drink in my hand and mix it properly because I had no way of efficiently doing it myself. Never going there again. So unnecessary and very unprofessional!! Edit - I’ve added photos of how my drink looked when I first got it (before trying to mix myself)

I recently had a rather disappointing dining experience at The Coffee Club located in Sylvia Park Shopping Mall. I tried their fish and chips, as shown in the photo. First off, the portion size was incredibly small for the price($29) which was quite off-putting. The fish, although crispy, was underwhelming in size, making the meal feel overpriced and not worth the cost. To make matters worse, the service was equally subpar. The staff seemed disinterested and unengaged, which significantly detracted from the dining experience. There was a lack of attentiveness; I had to wait longer than necessary for service, and when I did receive attention, it was with minimal courtesy. This lack of good service compounded the dissatisfaction with the meal itself. In summary, this was a meal that failed to deliver value for money, coupled with service that was far below expectations. I would not recommend The Coffee Club at Sylvia Park for anyone looking for a satisfying dining experience or good customer service.

Came here for lunch since my dad had gotten me a coffee club card. Food here is not bad, I liked the mexican chicken salad, quite big portion and the chicken was seasoned well. Reminds me a little bit of Hello fresh style. The double angus beef burger was pretty average, the patty was nice but that was about it, the sauce and fillings was very minimal so you are just mostly eating the patty. The bun was slightly burnt. The onion rings was awesome and the coffee was good. The price here is actually quite high, if you don't have the club card. An iced latte is $7.20 while some other upmarket coffee shop in New Market for the same thing is around $6. So overall for me, with club card is worth it, without I will probably go elsewhere.

Unbelievable shocking rude shop and staff, don't understand why such a lousy shop or a rude and humiliating staff can survive in Auckland. Their staff are extremely rude and impatient, even humiliate the clients. I arrived at 11:20 AM on 26 Sep (Monday), while waiting at the counter (I am the first one to wait in front of the counter, and no one stands behind me, but I still waited for more than 1520 mins), a Chinese female staff at the counter was always busy with other things and never came to the counter to ask what I need. I kindly considered that she was busy doing something else, so patiently waited at the counter for more than 1520 mins and never pushed her and gave her enough time to finish her other jobs. Finally, she finished other things and came to the counter,  I asked if they have any food without bread (low carbs), and she said Squips or Fish. I just want to ask and make sure these two dishes' prices for choosing one from them (If they are the same prices, I like to order Squips), she impatiently and rudely asked me to leave right away and said that "Hope you leave(stay away) my counter right now, don't affect (block) me to serve other clients here since we are quite busy!" What a rude and arrogant attitude to the client!

After waiting at the counter for 15~20 mins without pushing any staff, am I NOT the client who needs and deserves to be served at my turn?! Even though I insisted I want to order "now" and don't like to be pushed away, she still appears "not happy" to serve by taking my order and emphasising (warning) again that she needs to charge a 15% extra fee if I still like to order the meal "now" since today is National Holiday, which sounds like her main job is NOT taking orders from clients but "pushes the clients away or ask more money first".

Surely, we can understand some shops might have 10~15% extra charge during national holidays, which is comprehensible if you do your jobs properly, politely and clearly inform the clients in advance and provide the basic service which your employer "pays you to do so", rather than humiliating the clients on the spot, pushing them away to leave while they are ready to make the order and even threaten/ask more money so as to accept their orders if they reject being pushed away. What ridiculous, rude and humiliating behaviours by pushing the client away or threatening the client you need to pay an extra 15% to be able to have the rights standing here!!

After making the order, while the meal finally arrives, they don't even provide any dining tools (no fork nor knife available), not to mention napkins. We were looking for the napkins and forks/knives for a while, my friend surprisedly found they "hide" all the napkins away and only leave 1 or 2 papers on different tables, what a stingy shop, the tissues/napkins are so cheap, we pay high prices but can't even get a single napkin or basic dining tool and need to finish our meals by hands like barbarians.

After coming back, we checked this shop's google reviews and surprisingly found they have enormously bad reviews about their rudeness and stingy behaviours, such as "Staff shockingly rude! They don’t care about elderly’s difficulty in walking, not even slightly bothered helping, or letting us explain properly..", "Very stingy with the portions...", etc. They don't deserve one star. Hard to imagine why such a shop/staff can still survive in NZ, very disappointed, please be careful with this shop, and never recommend anyone to go there so as not to be...

Feed back just sent to head office.

I experienced the worst customer service by the counter staff and what seemed to be manager.(Asian lady) I ordered a bowl of seasoned fries then changed to the side of fries for my 4 year old daughter after realising they were seasoned with paprika. The bowl came out looking like a $4 bowl of fries. Enough for her and I ate a few. When I went to pay I was charged the $9.5. When asking why, I was almost shouted at like I was an inconvenience they couldn’t work the till properly and gave me filthy looks. I said look it was table 11, I asked to change the order. They then proceeded to go to the kitchen and yell so the whole cafe could here asking what bowl of fries they had served me. Chef said large bowl. I did say that if that was $9.5 worth of plain unseasoned chips that I was highly disgusted! I have never come across a more over charged greasy bowl of chips in my life! I eat out often and have been a restraint manager and spent my younger years working hospitality. I would never serve that or treat a customer like that. I was told that a side of fries for $4 is only approximately 7 chips on a plate. So I was told if I didn’t like it I should take it up with management as that was their new menu and what they are told to serve. 60 cents a chip! Look I could deal with paying for an over priced bowl of fries it’s not the first time I’ve been disappointed with food in my life but the treatment and handling of it by the staff was disgusting! I have always gone to coffee clubs and this was out of standard. Even though you are a successful franchise and I am only one of many customers I feel you should know how inappropriate and unsatisfactory my experience was on...

Went into this coffee club, wanted to do some study since it was pretty quiet, so I went in and sat down, this waiter brought me the menu so I got him to order a drink for me, and he said I have to order it at the front counter if I am only having drinks, which is fine. So I went over to the counter, there is a trainee and I ordered a tea and asked them if I can pay later because I will be ordering another drink, and then she told me that I have to pay now which I don't mind but I have their VIP card which I am able to get a second drink but it doesn't make sense to get 2 drinks at once. Then she told me that the drink I have ordered (which is tea) is not eligible because it is NOT coffee, and the senior lady barista came over and said it's only for coffee (which I have been to many coffee clubs to know that is not true), and after a few back and forth the waiter who refuse to order my drink came and said it's fine so they went ahead to order and told me they can hold off on my other drink until I am ready to have it. I am pretty disappointed that the staff do not have the knowledge about their widely used loyalty card and even tried to argue that "tea" is not a hot beverage. Overall I will not go there that often if I don't need to be there, because I am not getting a friendly vibe from the staff, thinking that they are right when in fact they are...
