Royal Hype — Restaurant in Maungakiekie-Tāmaki

Thank you so much RH for having us! Celebrated my sisters 21st birthday there 23/11/2024

Thank you to Ena! had great comms in regard to the booking and prep and was quick to respond to all my questions lol And thank you to Tamati! was very welcoming when we arrived for set up and was easy to talk with arranging our food order and bar tab, he let us choose what spirits we wanted at the bar and even grabbed us a ladder so we could turn on our big 21 light because we couldn't reach the power socket lol The real MVP of the night was Neeka our bartender, thank you Neeka for accommodating to my alcoholic family lol She had great comms about the bar tab and the drinks were flowing nicely.

Overall, the staff at RH were lovely! easy to deal with and had great comms, including security. Everyone loved the food, especially the pizza! Space is big enough to host 100+ guests and still have enough space for performances. The function room and balcony is separated by big windows so our smokers/vapers could still be present for...

Venue was nice however person on site managing the place was very rude with my friends booking as it was clear booking payment wasnt settled before the day of event. Reservation staff came up when event was about to start and was asking about payment but demanding way mentioning the total cost and correcting my friend how much the balance was which was not correct but he was adament it was which i thought was abit unprofessional especially infront of family memebers and friends in a way we could all hear the conversation.

The other thing was while we were preparing the hall for setup we were just chilling outside and had some energy drinks that was purchased elsewhere and the same staff member came out and was questioning in a rude way what drinks were these, event wasnt started still setting up the place and he decide to take both cans one nearly empty the other closed and throw them in the bin all unecessary. Very poor...

I can't stop raving about the incredible time my friends and I had at Royal Hype during the thrilling IND vs NZ(semi-final) match yesterday. From the moment we stepped in, the team at Royal Hype made sure our experience was nothing short of exceptional.

The crew went above and beyond, setting up tables in a way that allowed us to immerse ourselves in the excitement of the game while ensuring we could hear every bit of the commentary.

A special shoutout to Sharan and the yesterday's evening team for their outstanding hospitality and excellent customer service. Their efforts in accommodating us and making sure we had a fantastic time did not go unnoticed. Thank you, Royal Hype, for making our evening truly memorable. We'll definitely be back for more amazing moments like these! Looking forward to watch...
