Really disappointing.. being in the hospitality sector for many years, if I hadn't changed careers, I would love to offer some hands on, free advise. One, the owner should not be front of house (Im sure the older man is the owner). He did not smile once and also looked like he hated every minute of it. They're was no one to get us when we came in, accept the bar lady who pointed us around the corner (we waited about 5 minutes before someone even acknowledged us). The Indian gentleman was friendly but looked obviously a little under pressure. We were suited and waited a good 10 minutes before anyone returned, without the water we asked for. Drinks came fairly fast after ordering, but another 15 mins before our order was taken. Then we waited 45 minutes before any food arrived. No one told us there was quite a wait. In between, we finished our drinks, and no one checked if we would like another one (just for the record, this is how you measure money guys). The meal was somewhat disappointing. The beef cheek (their specialty I heard) was very tender but had a lot of jelly like fat on it, and it came with potatoes and a HUGE, not very nice, tomato. The meat and potatoes were typed with this 'gravy', which overpower the meal. No garnish so was not very appetising. Husband ordered a steak, medium, it was blue inside. They did take off bill (thank goodness) Grandmother's meal she said was lovely, she had lamb. Daughters fish had a strong fishy odor and she did not eat it. Mussels were nice in the cream and wine sauce. After our main meal, we waited about 20mins (were gong to look at dessert menu), and then decided to leave and grab an ice cream next door. I would like to share this terrible experience last year for other people who consider this place for your special day. I went there with my wife for our second marriage anniversary last year January. We were served by Indian guy, I dont know his name, but he just let us seat and order first. We ordered fish and chips and two mock-tails. The problem started after we ordered. The other customers were served with water and beverages right after they got seated and even they were arrived there 10 -15mins later than us.We were waiting around 30 - 40 mins and they never looked after us. No water / no beverages / no food. I requested a server that we are waiting 40 mins and now they just gave us water and start making beverages. The worst thing is we ordered the food faster than other tables and they were served first. My wife was trying to wait without any complaints. We felt that they are making our food just now. She was crying and saying they ruined our day. It was perfect before they act like this. Other customers saw she cried and the Indian guys finally served the food and when we pay, he did not even say sorry and greeting or anything. I really hate his attitude, rude and disrespectful.
