It was about 8:30pm when I went in for dinner on Saturday night. I wanted to purchase a smorgasbord plate and eat in but they insisted I buy a takeaway container as they were closing. After dishing up my takeaway meal they hurried me out the shop and then I drove home. When I got home I opened my container and started to eat my food when I had noticed that all the food was really hard which had told me that the food had been sitting in the bain-marie for a very long time. The fried rice was hard like as if it was raw & the sweet and sour pork was old and hard too. I went to take back the food the next night and asked for a refund and to my surprise he didn’t want to give one. My argument was that they stood there and let me dish up my food knowing it was not good to sell. Yes I was the last customer but they tried to take advantage of me when they knew the food was probably unsellable. The guy told me that I should only get half of the money and that no-one had ever complained about the food before. They really didn't want to give me my money back and only did because I was starting to get louder. Don't buy food from this place, they dont care about their customers. 1...
Read moreI waited 75 minutes for my order tonight. I accept that they were busy as it was mother's day but that amount of time is unacceptable. I spoke to another customer who placed her order in store 20 minutes after me yet only waited 20 minutes for her food. After an hour of waiting I enquired how much longer it was going to take and heard one front of house staff member say my order hadn't yet been given to the kitchen. No update was given to me directly but my food came out quickly once the kitchen was alerted to the oversight. To add insult to injury, once I got home I discovered the cashew nuts had been left out of the chow mein (which was supposed to with cashew nuts). I work in tourism. I know how important customer service and reputation is to hospitality businesses. Sadly your restaurant missed the mark tonight. Well 40 minutes later after I asked for a refund at 35 minutes the takeaways were ready. When I came home I see my order for chicken and cashews nuts which I asked for the nuts to be separate in a paper bag from the dish as one person can not eat them. Well surprise surprise!! There weren't even any cashew nuts in the bag. Hmmmm not impressed and definitely will never return there again. Even lady prior to me was getting annoyed at the length of time waiting.
