rice canteen — Restaurant in Napier

I like to give restaurants benefits of the doubt especially when you have had a bad experience there in the past.

The food here is tasty hence the 5 stars for that however, I hate that the staff berate and scream at you, also try and snatch the tongs from you while you are putting food into the undersized containers.

Speaking of which don't be fooled about their display containers they are much bigger then the ones you pay for.

I have provided a photo of the meal I chose for $17 and would've liked more of if I wasn't told that it was overfilled.

Absolutely abhorrent service.

I have given this place many chances to tidy up their act and provide good customer service but no....I won't...

The food isn't too bad taste wise in comparison to other Chinese Takeaways in Napier which is why I gave them 2 star, otherwise it would have been 1 star for the total experience. We went there tonight and got a $56 tray, but was told I couldn't "overfill it". I've posted photos, you be the judge. Compared to other places in Napier, this tray is not even half full and would cost around $7-$10 less.

I won't be back here again and I told the staff member who told me to "stop" this.
