Gardner Court Motel — Hotel in Napier

We stayed at Gardener Court for four nights as we were going to the Robbie Williams concert.|The unit we stayed in (7), had a lovely terrace and access to the garden, quiet and spacious with separate bedroom. Kitchen had all you could want, stove, microwave and access to a shared guest laundry in a separate building.|The decor is nice, large flat screen tv and the bed was super comfortable.|The hosts could not have been better and made the stay even better.|There is an in ground pool, tho not quite warm enough for me in Spring, it would be great in summer.|The location is perfect, just off a main road, close to shops,supermarket etc, and about a 15 minute walk to the city centre.|The rates are very reasonable and there are a variety of units with different sleeping capacity.|We would definitely stay here again, one of the nicest motels we...

A little dated and basically no hot water pressure. The lessees would love to update but owner not forthcoming which is a shame as it's a great location The lessees took exception to my original post which rated the motel as average saying it was a poor review and was damaging to them. As a result and before he had even discussed my review with me, they canceled a previously confirmed booking I had made with them for April next year.. I offered to discuss and/or amend my review but he wasn't interested. In my experience owner &/or managers normally discuss any issues rather than being petty. Can’t wait to come back. Welcoming, kind proprietors made a lovely start to our stay, and the two bedroom Art Deco suite was gorgeous! What a backdrop for a weekend in the Art Deco capital of NZ! Lovingly renovated with a constant supply of delightful authentic touches, but also mod conds like a Nespresso machine and two heat pumps that kept things cool despite the sun.||||We felt very safe in the suburban location with an easy walk to supermarkets and the centre of town.
