Catch 22 Cafe & Bar — Restaurant in Nelson

Came here for brunch and had such a nice time. The man who took our order was extremely friendly and just had such a “can do” attitude. He was very nice!! I ordered eggs benedict with sides of bacon and hash browns, my husband had a toasted sandwich with ham, cheese, pineapple and onion with fries. Our meals came out and I was ecstatic because I saw POACHED EGGS. Perfectly crispy bacon, PERFECTLY hot and crispy hash browns and beautifully cooked English muffins. With my side of hollandaise sauce - on the side as I asked! And delicious hollandaise too. My husband’s toasted sandwich came out and looked so good. A load of ingredients and it was toasted perfectly. Yes I’m using that word a lot!! The fries were excellent too! Hot and crispy. The cafe inside was gorgeous! Lovely stamped concrete floor and cool ceilings! Loved everything in this place - excellent service, excellent food and great atmosphere. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. I'm on holiday in nelson and we went to catch 22 for brunch so we ordered off there menu which took some time to decide as all sounded great and when the lady brought over our meals she asked did we notice the man sitting a few tables away we said yes and she said well he has done a pay it fwd and paid for your meals ...which I'm totally blown away that someone could be so kind wow what a kind gentleman thank u ... gentleman...and the food was salubrious definitely recommend...

My first time in the South Island and i will Highly recommend this Bar, Amazing service, food is outstanding, and we stayed above the bar for the night the Owners were very accomodating. Thankyou for my first awesome experience in the South Island 🥰 the cool thing about this bar yr dogs can sit with you outside theres a park across the road. I definitely will be back to stay here and eat here...
