25 March 2025 - Sprig & Fern Tahuna provided the perfect setting for a relaxed dinner with friends, offering a mix of bold flavors and fresh ingredients. The Island Ceviche was a standout, with citrus-marinated fish that was light, refreshing, and beautifully balanced. The Thai mussels were another highlight—plump and juicy, swimming in a fragrant, coconut-infused broth that had just the right amount of spice. The Bang Bang Cauliflower delivered a satisfying crunch with a tangy, slightly spicy glaze that kept us reaching for more. While I didn’t try the Beef Bao Buns or Meat Lovers Pizza, my friends seemed to enjoy them. Pairing the meal with one of Sprig & Fern’s craft beers (Fern Lager) elevated the experience, making it a fantastic spot for good food and great company. The warm, welcoming atmosphere and friendly service made for a memorable evening—definitely a place worth revisiting!

I stayed at an airbnb nearby and had dinner here. In the 3 days I was staying (Friday through Sunday) Sprig & Fern appeared to always be busy. We had dinner there on the Saturday night. We ate on the patio because it was very noisy inside. One drawback with sitting on the patio, however, is that people regularly come out to smoke on the patio or in front of the patio on the street and the smoke blows back at you. We both had a salad. I had the option with falafel. It was very tasty and satisfying. See picture. Note that the menu was not the same as what is available online for the location. The online menu is more extensive than the one at the restaurant, which was disappointing, as we were hoping to order items that were on the online menu but they weren't on the menu at the restaurant.

Great food. I had the Bangers and Mash, which was the best I’ve ever had ( and I’ve had a few). Apparently it was the first night this was back on the menu, and the pork, fennel, and leek sausages were handmade by the chef. They were truly exceptional. We also had the Yorkshire pudding as sliders which were very generous for a small plate. Overall the food and service were excellent. The restaurant itself is kind of standard pub.

The meal was over priced for what it was, had a garlic and cheese pizza (flat bread with no garlic n hardly any cheese. Lamb pizza again flat bread not sure where the lamb came in to it we got none mostly onion and yoghurt with raw garlic in it. A cheese pizza again flat bread that lost most it's cheese n had some thing on it that was unrecognizable. And garlic fries which were chips that had not made it to cooked and again raw garlic chucked on them ( not pleasent) and lastly fish and chips again did not make it to cooked with raw batter on fish and raw fish and par cooked chips. All dishes were only warm when served. Service was only for alcohol. A person from our party with food poisoning and sick with in hr of consuming food, would not return or...
