Comida Cafe and Restaurant — Restaurant in Nelson

Very disappointed. I've heard such great things about Comida and tonight was my first night dining there. Our waitress was lovely and everyone else's meals were great. I ordered the risotto and was so disappointed, such a small serving for $26.00 and was so bland, no flavour at all and not a creamy risotto as it should be, also not hot. No one came to check and see how our meals were, if they had, I would have been able to let you know how my meal was. Also, waitress left dessert menus then never came back to take our orders. Ordered wine when I arrived, and that was the only one I had. Waitress did come back once to ask if we needed more drinks, but it wasn't long after we'd ordered our first drinks, no we said no. She never asked again. Went to pay and still was not asked how our meals were. So...

This is the all stop shop for us, we can go in for brunch or coffee on a Saturday, or any day really and then buy our ingredients for the food we love to cook at home, Italian, Spanish and Lebanese. The staff are terrific and the owners, well are just the best ever! The food is excellently cooked with a lovely variety to suit all tastes. We have been goin to their buisness now for 10 years, it has changed since then but I guess thats a great testament to the welcoming nature of this great shop/cafe. Keep up the great work...

Tried to get a table at this restaurant after seeing the good reviews on google. Coincidentally they had 2 for 1 pizza night. When arrived at the restaurant my friend and I were greeted by Aurelie who suggested there are no free tables if I want to order pizza. And if I wanted pizza then I have to wait 2 hours to get a seat. The restaurant was not even half full. The staff was very rude and not welcoming at all. Even if the food was good, I would not wanna be served by people with such attitude. DO...
