I usually get takeaways.. Unfortunately I'm gluten free (gluten makes me very ill).. So I opt to get larger burgers with at least 2patties.. So ideally the filling would b in the middle of the patties.. which I did constantly ask for,but gave up after some time as they never listen anyways.. So instead of taking a few extra minutes to put this together (take some pride in ur work).. it is often just thrown in a box like slop..often cheese slice sticking to cardboard, with lettuce on top, then meat patties.seems so backwards..wouldnt u usually put a pattie on the bun first anyway? I always have to re arrange it once home, cold chips&lucky if I geta napkin.. (i live in cbd). When I visit other McDonald's ( Tahuna&others in South Island),I don't seem to ever have this problem.. They do it correctly without evn asking! So does Nelson City McDonald's just have lazy slack food workers? Seems the only burger I can trust them to make half decently is a dbl quarter pounder (-the bun)..anything else is too hard for these incompetent workers?? Frustrating! Will include some...
Read moreHaving moved to Nelson from Wellington we've realised that due to the lack of takeaway options, especially after 8pm that we've been eating Macca's more regularly then ever before. The food tastes fresh but nothing to rave about. The service however is Really Great. Always jolly, easy going, solution focused and understanding. For example one of the evenings I was in such a rush most of the day but the time I got to McDonald's I was so tired that upon paying for our dinner in the drive through I immediately drove home and to my surprise realised I had completely forgotten to stop and collect the food at the second window. Needless to say, by the time I got back my whole order was stone cold But! In a blink of an eye and an understanding and empathetic look, my entire meal was replaced with kindness.
The team seem happy and share it forward.
Nicely done. Good business is about creating and supporting...
Read moreNever have I ever had a McDonald's employee tell me how great KFC is when I'm ordering through the drivethrough, then debate with me after I had said KFC wasn't as great as he was saying. But as he told me he used to work at KFC, he must be an expert. Anyway, I regret not having gone to KFC because I woke up after having had McDonald's and promptly threw up my quarter pounder and cheeseburger into our insinkerator. Never have I ever gotten food poisoning from a fast food joint. I can confidently eat raw bacon and other sketchy foods with no problem. Perhaps the KFC advocating maccas employee didn't like that I had said McDonald's was superior and he gave me a patty from the floor or something but I actually haven't been keen to return since this. I fear that I might have...
