Like all couples, my wife and I have a "Favourite" eating establishment. A place you can visit where you are sure of excellent food, service and value.
Well, The Indian Cafe is that place for us. Specifically the Stoke restaurant.
We have tried most items on the menu over the last couple of years, and we have some favourites: Butter Chicken - don't we all? Tandoori Platter - an entrée with attitude Fish Tikka - huge chucks of fish with curry Chicken Mushroom Masala - chicken and fungus, meant to be together!
Everything which comes out of this kitchen is cooked with love, and the staff are always thinking about the customer.
Don't forget your side of cheese and garlic Naan, dripping with cheese and steaming with flavor.

Read more3 years ago, we got a meal, it was putrid and easily the worst curry we had ever tried. Sent them a message on FB regarding this, was viewed and never replied too. We went back for the first time since then this week. We tried different options from 3 years ago, yet everything we tried was absolutely disgusting. 4 people, not one of us enjoyed it or was able to eat more than a few mouthfuls. Sent another message on FB, yet again seen and no reply. Pathetic customer service, and horrible food. We will not be giving them another try in three years time. Read moreWe were booked at the Richmond store but ended up at the Stoke outlet. The manager was very welcoming and seated us in the heated outdoor area. It was just our group so was very private and allowed for convivial conversation.
The food was outstanding. The paneer tikkas and sizzling mushrooms came on a sizzling platter. Both were very tasty and the bhajias crispy and generous.
