The entrees were awesome. We had the mixed platter which had about 5 different items on the plate all of which were really tasty and very nicely presented. For mains I had the duck curry. The pieces of meat were quite large and with no knives on the table I had to pull the pieces apart. That was easy as the meat was nice and tender. My wife had the Jungle curry and decided to go for medium hot instead of mild like my curry. The mild was already quite spicy and her medium hot was on the limits for Westerners taste buds I think. She likes a bit of spice but couldn't taste the different elements in her dish. It was all hot. Desserts are plain and I felt a little pricey for what you get. It was a cool winter's evening but when seated at the table the air conditioning was blowing way too much hot air. Soon followed by cold air and then too much hot air again. The temperature was never pleasant. So overall, the entrees left the best impression but the rest of the meal couldn't match...
Read moreOne of the biggest advantages of this place is that it is open late, unlike the rest of Rotorua. The ambiance and the servers are pretty standard for Thai restaurants in general so no surprises there. The Pad Thai was sweet despite asking for a medium spicy level. It was good, but I just like my food more spicy. We got a couple of Sauvignon Blanc wines from the Marlborough area. One wine had a hint of guava and the other had hints of lime and capsicum. Both were delicious.
All in all, they have decent food, street parking, are open until late, so they are a good option for travelers like me, who tend to eat late on vacation because our days are so packed with the sights...
Read moreI want to sincerely thank the lovely owner of this Thai restaurant in Rotorua. On Monday, I came here to enjoy a meal with my baby and brought our portable baby dining chair. Unfortunately, I accidentally left it behind when we left the restaurant and only realized it after returning to Auckland.
To my surprise and deep gratitude, the owner went above and beyond — she personally went to the post office, carefully packed the chair, and mailed it all the way to my home in Auckland. I’m truly touched by her kindness and thoughtfulness!
Not only is the service amazing, but the food here is also absolutely delicious — every time I visit Rotorua, I make sure to come here for a meal. The location is great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the food never disappoints. Highly recommended to everyone visiting...
