Best Ugly — Restaurant in North Island

*This is a shout out to the Wellington airport branch. So glad we discovered this gem at the airport!! Was well impressed with the friendliness, efficiency and positive energy of the staff, who function more like a well oiled team! Fun to watch them work, and they seem to enjoy their craft. A Mean Joe Green bagel of avo, tomato, topped with delicious bacon was my choice, and a Schmear (cream cheese on bagel) kept Mrs Chef happy. Thanks to Havana beans, and well trained baristas, the coffees are on point. The feel of the place is laid-back, slightly retro, yet quick and efficient. I’m a big fan of this place n really like it but it Is expensive as u can c from their menu. Thus 3 star. I had a salmon bagel n a large Flatty as they call a flat white. 21$is really ripping one off.and to top it off u get some days where the salmon is not fresh. Also the airport welly airport branch is very busy at 6.30 in the morning when they open. As most ppl r here so about 25 mins wait. Thus don’t wait if u r in an early morning flight. If you like bagels this is your place ! Every time I visit Welly it’s a must stop. Several options of bagels to chose from for everyone’s taste. Sesame, poppy, plain, everything bagels , even chocolate one with either white or dark bread.
