Three of us went for lunch here on Sunday arriving at 12 noon. The altura brand coffee was served promptly and was good, but the food was another story. At the time the coffee came out, the cook came out to say that the gluten free waffles were unavailable and offered French toast instead, which she could use gluten free bread to do. After half an hour, the mushrooms were brought out, but without the bacon and with the message that the other two meals had not been started yet. She took the mushrooms away. So after an hour we finally got all 3 meals; French toast, modified gluten free French toast and mushrooms. We noticed others that had arrived after us had been served their meals before us. The meals really weren't worth the wait either, although the French toast with lemon curd and berries was pretty good. We won't be recommending or...

Okay I made my way here with a friend who frequents it a lot. I was a bit skeptical but alas, wow like walking through a mysterious wardrobe I was magically transported to a wonderful Cafe. We walked into a fairly large Cafe with extra seating in a side room. Tables were very nice in 2 and 4 tops. Great place to meet up and have a conversation with friends or for business. We were greeted with a smile by the barista and front ladies. They took our order and we found seats. Coffee came out quickly and then our food. Hot and ready. My omlette was very good, bacon, tomatoes and onion. With a side of toast and a small salad. Overall excellent experience. If find yourself wandering/driving in Whangarei with hungry peeps take a trip to Narnia. You will not be disappointed!!

(Forgot pics but trustme it looked as good as this review...

A quaint and quirky cafe which serves the normal menu you'd expect of kiwi cafes.

Cafe Narnia is a little light on the Narnia theme but depending on what door you walk through you do get the chance to walk through a wardrobe to another world. What's on the other side is much more like your normal cafe then a mystical wonderland, but not sure you should expect anything much more.

The food was good, nothing out of the ordinary, stock standard cafe food made to a good standard. Their iced coffee was one of the best I've had, creamy and only mildly sweet.

Nothing special but would...

Prices are up there. Got a Mince and Cheese Pie for 11$ but I was surprised that it came with afew extras. But unlike many other cafes, the Sauce and the salad and the pie was a really good combo of flavours 👍 like someone actually thought about it, rather then just added extras to justify a higher price. Atmosphere was abit loud and hard to move around, but otherwise it's very clean, tables are sturdy (wobbly tables are annoying), everyone's nice. Everything was nice 👍
