Would like to make note that someone at St.Pierre's Whangarei is not making the sushi rice properly. On occasion I've bought Katsu with mayo on rice and it's great - the sushi rice TASTES like sushi rice. Today I bought this meal and the rice is BLAND and has not been flavoured with sushi seasoning. Sick of being ripped off by chefs who cut corners here. Find out who is stiffing your customers with the food and fire them, please. This is unacceptable. The rice isn't even flavoured correctly and the fillings are of low quality compared to other Sushi places in Whangarei. Read moreWe visited for lunch on our way back to Auckland. We have a 4 year old who loves sushi but has anaphylaxis to dairy and eggs. We usually prepare and pack all meals but didn't have the time this trip.
After explaining to the incredibly friendly team, they were confident and happy to make fresh sushi to accommodate all while the shop was packed and busy. While we were happy and felt safe as parents, no one was happier than our 4 year old from this experience.
