Daydream Espresso — Restaurant in North Island

Very dissapointing experience, I ordered a coffee from here on sunday and i waited well over 15 minutes for my coffee which was lukwarm once it was given to me. My sister in law was with me and had her two small children who were freezing so we sat outside at their tables in the sun (after I had ordered my coffee from them) and we had brought lunch for the children from up the road but could not sit inside as it was too cold for the children. We purchased drinks from this Cafe that was sadly lacking in standards and a staff member came out very rudely to tell us we could not eat our own food out on the street, despite having purchased drinks from them. When we apologised and explained that we had bought coffee, he rudely and abruptly replied that it was "not enough" to have the right to sit outside. He told us to take the coffee we bought from them and find somewhere else to sit, despite having a baby and toddler with us that was minding their own businesses in the sun. I had a wonderful experience at Daydream Espresso in June this year. Not only did they serve exceptional coffee, but the staff also demonstrated exceptional honesty and humility. I accidentally left my bag there, and they kindly kept it safe for me until I was able to pick it up a few days later. The honesty and genuine kindness of the people at Daydream Espresso left a lasting impression on me. I highly appreciate their integrity and outstanding customer service. A great little Cafe on the main route through Cambridge Stopped for coffee and brunch. Had their Hom Tom and the generous helping of nice fresh tomato on top was a pleasant surprise, and the flavors were top notch too. Pleasant staff and great service.
