Domino's Pizza Taupo — Restaurant in North Island

I Went to domino's taupo for the very first time today to order 2 pizzas and 2 chocolate thick shakes with add-ons. As a former domino's staff member from a different store, I wasn't to happy from the first impression I got from this store. A lot of customers were waiting for their orders to be ready and seem to be annoyed. From the making screen I could see that you weren't busy at all (less than 6 pizzas on the screen) + there were 7-8 staff members in the kitchen. The guy that was cutting didn't call out the complete orders and I could clearly see how our pizzas have been put in the hot box straight away even though I was standing in front of the counter together with the other people waiting. Nobody made the thick shakes even though the girl in the makeline gave the call loud and clearly. When I asked for my order the pizzas were ready ( I saw them sitting in the hotbox for 5mins) but the shakes were not apparently. The shakes were then made immediately but the chocolate swirl was missing. I as a former domino's instore know exactly how the thick shakes have to look like and as I politely asked the guy who made it if they don't have any chocolate sauce for the swirl anymore he told me there is only a swirl on the caramel shake. I asked another staff member about the shakes and got 2 new ones with the swirl + cream without any issues from a very nice guy. Thank you for the replacement of the shakes, but please teach your staff better! Even if they're drivers normally, they should know the basic stuff. All in all everything looked a bit unorganized, apart from the 2 girls at the Makeline and Sauce bench. The customer area looked like a mess and the bathrooms clearly haven't seen a good clean for a while... Pizzas and saucing were good. Cutting was OK. Yesterday, I called in and ordered a $5. Hawaiian Pizza with added Pepperoni, which came to $7. I bought it to eat for Dinner last night, and when I got it home was very disappointed to find it was nothing like the Cheesy, Filling Filled Pizza like we see on TV for $5. I counted SEVEN small pieces of Pineapple, and hardly any Ham hidden under the Pepperoni. There was also hardly any of stretchy Mozzarella Cheese, like on TV. THE pizza was very thin and well below DOMINO'S Standards. It also tasted funny, like the oven hadn't been cleaned for years. Speaking of clean, the place was very gloomily lit, as it was on my previous visit a while ago. And I know why! The place was filthy! I was at the counter for most of my visit, waiting for my order, rather that sit in the background. I noticed that at the end of the counter, it was all greasy, a d this was hidden by a standing Menu. Looking under the stainless steel table / bench, it was very dirty there. One very nasty thing I noticed was, the girl making up the pizzas was NOT using a Cup, or Scoop for each of the Ingredients. Not ONE Cup or Scoop for ALL of the Ingredients, but PER Ingredient. She was wearing blue plastic disposable gloves, and was grabbing handfuls of ingredients, a, b, c, etc. using the same gloves per grab, risking cross contamination with everything, especially the different meats. After yesterday's visit, I don't think I will be coming back to Taupo DOMINO'S again. I might, when you least expect it, to check on the cleanliness of the place. Don't even deserve a star. My order was due 7.33pm I got it delivered at 8.05pm after I got my order I said to the delivery man you very late. He tells me due to pizza Hut closed we are taking on more orders. Great so the company must have known that they need more staff. So the delivery driver leaves. Well being half hour late my food is cold.i called to tell them my food cold. Basically called me a liar and said I complain to them all the time.fyi before this order I haven't placed an order with Domino's in the last 2 years. Now I know why I stopped ordering from their. Then he said I can have a complimentary pizza and garlic bread. Well guess what I had placed another order different day and time and I get told that I have to pay it in full no records of my complaint at all. But it was the same delivery guy.
