Joe's Food World — Restaurant in North Island

I would like to point out that with every store that offers snack boxes would normally consist a THIGH and chips, however, it wasn't the case for me and my family today. I got home and realised that the women had put in chicken breasts in all our snack boxes(4 of us) and only very little chips, to top it off, the coating on the chicken was VERY salty and inedible. I did not think to ask for thighs only because every other bakery i have been too give thighs, otherwise they would ask for first preference. But 4 chicken breasts? C'mon? This will have to be my last time, although it was my first time today, need to be a bit more generous with the amount of chips and less salt/seasoning on chicken. Also, for the duck lovers out there i do not recommend getting duck on rice, not fresh and tasted horrible (inedible) very disappointing! They should not serve Duck on rice at...

We have been using Joes takeaway for years. We used to go there just to buy their wontons. The quality of their food has deteriorated significantly over the years. Wontons size reduced by 10 folds. We order Bami Goreng, Pork and chicken fried and Chicken vegetable with cashews. We are just sick and tired of telling them that the food is not up to standard. There's hardly any meat in their dishes and today I just had had enough after I ordered Bami Goreng and Chicken vege with cashews. They used old "Yellow" broccoli and stringy celery in that with slimy gravy which did not look very appealing or palatable. While their price have gone up, their quality of food has gone downhill. After giving them chance after chance and providing verbal constructive feedback with no change from them I thought to make this public knowledge.. Joes Cook Johnsonville...

While waiting for our order we noticed the Chinese woman who served us (mid 30s, black shoulder length hair, short stature) playing with her hair in the kitchen.  She then came back out to process another order for another customer.  She did NOT wash her hands nor was she wearing food handling gloves when putting food in the  takeaway containers.  She is also handling money in between serving customers.  Ugh.  Also the cook wasn't wearing food handling gloves. Is this some kind of Mickey Mouse outfit? Basic food handling practice is to wash hands thoroughly before handling food.  Hmm!!!  Cross contamination, food poisoning, what was she thinking?  If you want to play with your hair do hairdressing as a career.  Trying to cut corners by not having someone separely just to handle money.
