KFC — Restaurant in North Island

Absolutely BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! The chicken had been sitting for too long or overcooked as the coating was hard and the chicken was dry and had a funny taste. The coleslaw expiry date was 6 hours before the expiry date and was turning brown in colour because it was obviously not fresh, tasted horrible too. I took the coleslaw back to the counter and stated the above and got a dismissive reception from the woman who served me at the counter, she said that it doesn't expire until tomorrow and was told to contact head office! She was an unbelievably RUDE woman, her face was like a slapped arse when I wanted to talk to the manager. She even had new packets of coleslaw on a trolley to put in the fridge when I went up to inquire about talking with the manager, what an INSULT, I was dumbfounded by her attitude, willful antagonism, arrogance and ignorance!!! Spoke with the manager, the manager appeared apologetic, but still no resolve! I will be taking it up with head office customer care tomorrow as they need to know how BAD their customer service is. This is NOT a way to run a business!!! This would have to be one of the WORST fast food takeaways for SERVICE and QUALITY in Whanganui! 3rd time ever at whanganui KFC. First time I waited in the drive through line for at least 30 minutes and when I got to the window, the employee serving told me that there was no chicken. I thought

he was joking but he had a deadpan face..... Turns out he wasn't one of the better comedians I have ever come across,,, he was actually serious. I burst out laughing still thinking it was a joke but he promises me he wasn't. I drove away empty handed. The second time same thing happened but I waited for about 40 minutes. I am waiting in the line now. It has been 35 minutes and I am still 3 cars away from the final food window..... I wonder if there will be any chicken left this 3rd time in a row.... Came here Saturday night. Took mental note of who I’m assuming is the manager working hard along his coworkers. Thought it was cool that he was supporting the workers by encouraging them to keep working harder. Despite it being busy I feel the manager really did step up and the other workers followed which made the work flow a lot easier.

Service was amazing. Tended to us very fast despite it being late and busy and our food had come out faster than we expected. First kfc that we’ve been to in a long time where the chicken was crispy and moist. The chips were also perfectly crunchy and the zinger burger was great too. I guess this is what kfc is supposed to taste like when it’s well made.

Dining area was very clean. Floors looked like they’d been recently swept and the tables looked like they had been wiped down and cleaned. The ambience was...
