Pita Pit Whanganui — Restaurant in Manawatū-Whanganui

We stopped here to collect food for dinner because parking was a problem elsewhere. I don’t eat meat and was somewhat dubious about having the same old Pita, but my friend was keen so we decided to check it out. Wow … I’m SO glad we did. I had the most delicious Pita ever in my life and will be back for certain. Inside ( was it a Rosti? )it had kumara, onions, almonds, salad veggies and other things I can’t recall just now. Also the dressing was gorgeous. Sounds odd but I felt like I could taste the thought and care that had gone into the preparation and appreciated it. Thank you Pita Pit people in Wanganui. See...

This was the WORST wrap/kebab/roll I have ever bought! Imagine paying $17.40 for an average sized wrap, and finding the first third of the roll was simply cheese and lettuce (see picture). The meat was at the bottom of the wrap. There was very little if any sauce in the wrap. The most incredibly disappointing purchase I have ever made in a very long time! As a result, it is my opinion you try the Kebab shops down the end of the same street or Subway. They are much better!! Please,please do not make the same mistake I did. Pitapit prices are ridiculous for what you get....

Have been here a couple of times not alot tho sooo I can say they have definately improved on their salads, but I still feel they should add more meat, seems like only 8 small pieces of chicken just doesint cut it for me and to pay that extra for meat well ,not that appealing either, but in saying that the taste is fresh meaning the salads and chicken is nice and staff friendly as well, nice clean shop, but I haveint ordered anything else except chicken salads so cannot really comment on the rest of the menu but I shall try...
