The cafe was not the cherry on top for a great exhibition. While gluten free toasties were available, they were too busy to make them (e.g waited 5-10 mins and told several times too busy to even talk). Unfortunately, this was the only item in the cabinet (apart from cookies) that my child would eat. We drove around a town we are not familiar with for 20 - 30 mins trying to find something. An excellent selection and collection of art that truly reflects the Whanganui area.
The central display of inanga eel pots was incredible. No surprise to see also the brilliant glass works the city is famous for. Some interesting pottery [the large teapot is gorg]... there was even an original Goldie.
My favourite was the steel taniko display suspended in shadows and creating patterned shadows of their own.
