Thai Central Restaurant — Restaurant in Waikato

I usually would not write this kind of review however this one is extremely outrageous. This is our 3rd time to visit this restaurant everything was great before that's why we came back. Firstly we arrived at the restaurant, there was only one table was dining. No one greeted us until we walked pass the front desk which was at the far end of the restaurant and been told to take a seat whenever you want.

Secondly, I ordered the Thai milk tea without the whipped cream and itp was served with whipped cream which was not a big deal I can just took it off. However, the way of the staff told us was quiet shocking, "sorry I forgot you ordered without the cream, I'm too busy". Keep in mind in that restaurant only had 2 tables at that time and they had 3 Foh staff.

Thirdly, we ordered the drunken noodle. We had various drunken noodles and never tasted something like this. We told to the staff to check with the kitchen is there anything wrong with the dish because it tasted like something was off. The staff went back said nothing was wrong it how they served the drunken noodle and they told us maybe you just didn't like it. We told the staff if it's how you guys served it, it's okay we will keep it. Rather than gave us back the plate, she walked away to the kitchen without further confirmation.

Lastly, please keep in mind this is the moment of truth. We did not eat the drunken noodle (only tasted) and it was taken away from our table. When we came up to pay, they didn't give us the receipt to check. After we paid and asked for the receipt, we still got charged for the drunken noodle which was insane.

If you can't even serve a decent food please at least have...

This place is an authentic Thai food experience! I had a chicken massaman curry, my wife shared a beef and cashew curry with her mother, along with some wontons and roti and satay sauce. The food was very tasty and portions were value for money. The wait time is minimal. They don't have waiting staff, you select a menu and order at the counter. They aren't licenced, so don't expect to order beer or wine with you order. All of this is reflected in the price - it was $45 in total. I'd put that on par with dinner at McDonalds! If you are expecting a fine dining experience, this isn't the place for you. This place is a takeaway restaurant with the option to eat in if you like. My family and i were so excited to visit this place as we had heard such great reviews. I wish i could tell you how exceptional the food was or how great the service was but unfortunately to our disappointment we arrived - a little busy but still a good few empty available tables. We waited right at the front to see if we could either be seated or if it was too busy we could have gotten takeaways either way was fine. We were never acknowledged or even looked at, both ladies ignored us (one behind the bar/counter and the other front of house). We stood there for a little while and thought i guess they don't want to serve us it's best to go elsewhere.
