This McDonald's really needs to greatly improve on putting every item of the order into the bags and then double checking the order before giving the food to the customer. My parents went thru the drive thru one night and ordered happy meals for their grandchildren with drops to 3 different houses. They ended up returning to McDonald's to get the order they asked for because items were missing... Twice! Visits here with my kids weekly in different parts of the day (meaning there's different staff from the last visit) almost at every 2nd visit our order was missing burgers (Drive thru and ordering inside). I don't understand how it's possible for orders to be missing items when it's different staff each time we visit. I could understand if it was happening when a certain staff member is always on but it's always different staff. It's confusing. I should probably stop going there but it's in a convenient place. I always check my orders before leaving the store or driving off from drive thru. It's terrible. I think there's too many people bagging the same order. One time they called one of my order numbers so I went to the counter to collect it. A few minutes later, a different staff member called out the same number. I thought no they said the wrong number. They called it again. I looked around at the other customers and noticed that no one was going to collect it so I went upto the counter, showed her my ticket number and she handed me the order so I received it and waited for my other orders before leaving. Two different people bagged the same order. (This was a plus for me) but just goes to show how they stuff up orders. They should let the counter person bag the orders they take or allocate one runner for front counter and one or two for drive thru. Too many people out the front who lack communication.
3 stars for now. I'm willing to upgrade to 5 stars when I receive full complete orders. It's just a bummer when I'm handing the kids their combos and one of them doesn't get a burger at the same time as the other kids and they feel sad. I visited your Papamoa drive-thru on Friday, between 12:10–12:20 PM and ordered a Crispy Chicken Tomato Cheese Lettuce and Bacon combo. While staff member Kiwa was courteous and acknowledged my concerns, I encountered several issues that I hope you can address:
Missing Receipt No receipt was provided with my order, which made it difficult to reference details afterward. Meal Quality Concerns Chicken Patty & Bacon: The chicken breast was lukewarm, and the bacon (a single thin slice) was cold and lacked freshness. Foreign Object in Meal: I discovered a long hair attached to the food, raising concerns about hygiene standards. Chips/Fries: The portion was notably sparse (appearing half-filled), lukewarm, overly greasy, and smaller in size compared to previous orders.
I appreciate Kiwa’s professionalism in listening to my feedback, but the overall experience was disappointing. Could you kindly advise how this will be addressed to ensure improved quality and consistency for future customers?

Read moreIt was quite busy so the crew were doing pretty well. The food was fresh and usually when the fries are served they are nearing their life span in any Macdonald's you visit. But at the Papamoa Macdonald's the fries were also fresh. The toilets were dirty in the woman's bathroom but again I can't blame the crew as they did have a lot of orders to push through and to make their customers happy they needed every hand they could get. The service was fast and me and my family did not wait that long. From the experience of working at a Macdonald's food place and knowing how hard the work is there ( it's not as easy as everyone thinks it is) they still tried to maintain a clean work area as soon as someone was free to leave the floor. Staff were welcoming and sweet. No hassles at all. They asked questions to the tune you needed. The service was 5 star. And the coffee 👍😚 this lady made the coffee beautifully. She didn't try to rush the time to make it and the coffee was not at all burnt or over heated. I definitely will give her five stars as well. The only reason I have put four stars up is because the restraunt was not clean. But from being busy it looked like a miracle compared to other stores 👍👍 good on you guys. Keep up the awesome work.
